Lora Froescher

Founder & Instructor

Ever since I was a young child, I’ve loved making things out of whatever I could find—yarn, fabric, sewing scraps, even carving apples or shaping homemade playdough. I was always drawn to color and the unique, like the time I tore off my Precious Moments wall paper, slapped colorful handprints all over and painted my popcorn ceiling black-and-white checkered (sorry Dad and Mom). Creativity has always been how I see and experience the world.

When I discovered clay, it felt like all of my passions came together. Clay has the perfect texture, can be shaped into almost anything, and offers endless color possibilities. You can add textures, patterns, and designs—and create pieces that are functional for everyday living, beautiful for décor indoors or out, or just purely playful - my personal favorite.

But what I love most is how working with clay fosters something deeper—it has a way of unlocking emotional openness and connecting us to a more meaningful part of ourselves. Clay has been used across every culture I’ve experienced in my travels around the world, and I believe it continues to carry that universal thread of creativity, grounding, and connection.

That’s why I love sharing pottery with others. For me, it’s not just about making “things,” but about sparking joy, encouraging imagination, and creating space for people to surprise themselves with what they can make and feel. In every class, I strive to create a warm, safe environment where creativity becomes a bridge—between people and even the deeper parts of ourselves.
